Our Huntsville tornado shelters come with a bright white gel-coat interior. Gel-coat is one of the most durable and toughest coatings available as it is often exposed to the harshest elements and conditions (marine power boats, yachts, jet skis, etc). It is smooth, easy to clean and highly reflective.

The exterior is coated with our specially blended epoxy coating to provide an added barrier to the elements while creating a great looking appearance. This, in addition to our low-profile door, makes it easy to landscape and fit into virtually any yard.  (Note: doors are no longer painted green to help keep the temperature cooler inside the shelter when the door is closed)

Greetings. I would like to get an estimate on a small 4 person shelter for my garage. Would also like to know if you do any custom job, since there’s another place where I might actually like to have it build. Anyway, contact me, I’m quite interested in making a purchase. I’ll probably be calling you today. “I live in Madison Al”

    • Hey Alejandro, great meeting you today at your home in Madison, AL. As we discussed, we can install a 4’x4′ above ground safe room for as little as $4,000 in your garage. The $3,500 4-adult underground Lifesaver storm shelter seems like the best fit for you though in the backyard. Look forward to speaking with you again soon.

  2. How much would monthly payments be?

    • We have had great success referring customers to Nan at Springleaf Financial and have had customers in the past approved for payments around $100 a month. You can reach Nan at Springleaf Financial at 256-772-7773

  3. Installation cost? Ls6

  15. We are currently living in Harvest, AL and are looking to get a storm shelter. Whats the biggest difference between the Refuge and Lifesaver Storm Shelters, what type of financing do you offer, and do you have models in Huntsville that we could come look at and to ask you more detailed questions? Thanks.

    • Tim, there’s about $200 difference between the Lifesaver and Refuge storm shelter models (underground units). Both brands are great, it’s more just personal preference. The Refuge is white, is a little easier to get into, has 2 white vent pipes that stick out of the ground for venting, has a keyed lock on the outside and also has a hill-side model but only comes in a 6, 8 or 12-15 adult size. The Lifesaver comes in 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 20 adult sizes, is green, can also be locked from the outside with a chain or bicycle lock, is $200 cheaper (due to where it’s manufactured), has vents under the lid and we typically carry more of these Lifesavers in stock than we do the Refuge. Those are the main differences, in a nutshell. Hope that helps! Thanks for your comment.
